My Gum Is Turning White

Activity 4.

We are going to present the activity number 4.
In this activity we worked a little the life of the ancient philosophers in schools and how they have remained important.
For this, each member of the group we have appropriated a role, writing a short autobiography and anecdotes explaining and most famous phrases of each philosopher.
As support, we used a program called Publisher, where we have created a triptych. Here I leave it attached.

Tae Kwon Do Cake Ideas

Activity 3: Redaccón on myth and the explanation on a particular topic. From myth to logos

This activity consists of a "cartoon" to discuss a topic from the standpoint of mythological and rational. We chose the tsunami.

Poseidon's Fury!

was a Once a young boy who lived in a place where fishing was the most important job because the economy of this small town depended on it.

It was a great believer in the gods, especially the god of agriculture and the sea god, so many ceremonies performed in honor of these gods, believing that if the content remained the fisheries and crops would be just as good and abundant than before.

This young boy's name was Edwin, he was 18, had no respect for anyone, and his main hobby was not exactly praise the gods, so and because it was the typical young rebel who wore crazy half the town, every morning his father took him fishing in order to respect the beliefs of the people.

one morning, Edwin angry, decided to spill into the sea a very toxic chemical that her father used to disinfect the ship, even though his father warned him that it was something very dangerous to fish and that if he fell into the water, Poseidon would be furious and terribly punished.

After a few hours, almost as they prepared to return home saw a giant wave approaching from the distance. Panicked and his father knew then that Poseidon was angry much of the act that had made her son. The great wave seemed to be formed by the burly torso of Poseidon with trident in hand and a really angry. Fortunately, or unfortunately, when the wave reached the height of the ship simply increased, but did not cause any damage and was furious wave followed the small and innocent people.

When the great wave came to town, had an incredible force, destroyed everything that encontraba por su camino: coches, casas, árboles, huertos… incluso personas.

And now we can say that every time the raging waters enter the sea coast is because someone terribly offended Poseidon and is punished along with his people.

this myth After the tsunami, we present you the rational explanation of this fact.

Every day we live with bad experiences in life that make us lose important people in our lives, also a nice place finish ruined and that all the dreams we have just destroyed a single pass.

too guilty about it is a tsunami. This natural disaster lives with us every day and, unfortunately, takes with him everything he sees. Nothing is left in good condition.

A tsunami is a wave or a group with great energy and great size that occurs when a large body of water is displaced vertically. The main cause of this move are the earthquakes. They produce a ground vibrations due to the shifting of tectonic plates.

Then we teach you a video, which is somewhat shocking. Enjoy.

A Kilo Of Fat Looks Like

The origin of philosophy has always been a controversial issue. The term comes from two Greek words: edge, which means love, attraction ... and the other, philosopher, which means wisdom.
Greek philosophers considered that philosophy is born with Thales of Miletus, but still, there are two hypotheses of how I think this thought rational
- Hypothesis Eastern origin, who says that the Greeks copied Eastern philosophy and passed in Greece , where he was given a higher development.
- Hypothesis Greek origin, where philosophy would be an original creation of the Greek people

Despite these two situations, the real origin of philosophy was in a Greek village, and that its rejection of the supernatural, the magical are signs of a rationality that we can hardly find in other forms of thought.
born about s.VII-VI BC as a result of a new attitude to the universe: man is not satisfied with the answers mythical, but seeks answers to the secrets of the universe with the only help reason and logic. This new kind of thinking is known as the myth over the logos.

causes to be given this new kind of thinking were:
- A lack of a class priestly guardian of religion and science. Knowledge in the imperial cultures was run and guarded by a class specifically devoted to official knowledge, in its religious and scientific, that makes any doctrine outside the state is considered sectarian or heretical.
The Greeks have a worship their gods and some priests in charge, but they lack the brand establishment closed, and the role of the gods and their worship, varies from one polis to another. This creates contrast and lack of dogma, which favors the presence of varied interpretations of the world without restrictions.
- There was no Greek state and some features of culture are: the interest focused on nature and man, in a dynamic and temporality of this world, defining its humanistic spirit.
Possession of an abstract language, defined by a grammatical structure. From this it can be a logic and dialectic. Since, Greek writing is accessible to any man and his character also favored vowel accessibility and transmission.

Free African Dance Mapouka

The first activity is to distinguish Myth and Rational Explanation . We designed a Power Point presentation: an outline. In the scheme we have hyperlinks that go to the next slide to explain the seven differences between those concepts.

We define the set of beliefs, myths and images that are formed around a character or phenomenon and to become a model or prototype.

By contrast, rational explanation is the reflection of the facts through the science and reason.

After the power point, put a video where he talks about the Bermuda Triangle, on the myths and truths of the story.

The gods must be crazy!

The last paper presented in the course of philosophy is called "The Gods Must Be Crazy!". This work involves making a series of activities proposed by Vanessa and Eurydice, exposing each entry in our blog and, finally, we create a GLOG which will show the final activity.

find attached the document to have it handy at all times, and also in order that you have a guide to further our project.
